The Trakselis laboratory at Baylor University is seeking up to two postdoctoral positions to work on various aspects of enzymatic DNA replication mechanisms, in vivo biochemistry and genetics of replisome coordination, consequences of DNA repair or replication fork stalling, and/or DNA recombination processing. 

We are a diverse group of scientists with outstanding facilities and resources within the Baylor Science Building working in diverse areas of biochemistry, chemical biology, genetics, mass spectrometry, and cellular imaging. The focus of our group is to investigate the functional relationships of several DNA helicases and polymerases working in diverse pathways of genomic maintenance in organisms within the three domains of life, focusing on biochemical and cellular processing. We are looking to recruit recent PhDs or second term postdocs with backgrounds in biochemistry, mammalian cell culture, microscopy, biophysics, microbiology, or related fields.


Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. or will have defended their Ph.D dissertation before starting.
