Description

Plans and manages research projects independently within a specifically defined field of study, but typically part of a research program; 3D printing technologies with a good record of publications & patents in additive manufacturing.

Requirements

Education:

PhD or MSc in mechanical or biomedical engineering, with 3D printing sub-specialty.

Experience Required:

10 years of experience in advanced R&D 3D printing facilities

Candidates should have the following capabilities:

• To be proficient in 3D modeling using CAD applications for prototyping (> 10 years).
• To have experience in working on several 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, …etc).
• To have experience in optimizing the 3D printed models using topology & stress analysis.
• To be able to supervise and guide junior staff members to perform 3D printing tasks.
• To have experience in Arduino & Raspberry Pi and develop devices to solve problems.
• To have good programing experience and be able to develop end-to-end product/process.
• To be able to establish safety programs, processes and procedures for the 3D printing lab.
• To have good record of publications & patents in additive manufacturing is highly preferred.
• To have experience in medical field is preferred. To have experience in biotechnology is preferred.
